Yasmina & Ivan and their wedding in Croatia
Photographing a wedding is always a special experience, but there was something truly magical about Yasmina and Ivan's wedding in Dubrovnik. This beautiful and relaxed couple, who currently reside in Switzerland, decided to tie the knot in the stunning coastal city of Dubrovnik. Yasmina, originally from Spain, and Ivan, a native of Croatia, wanted to bring their two cultures together in this breathtaking location.
As a photographer, I was thrilled to be a part of such a special day. Ivica from Dzambo Film was with me and he shot a beautiful video. The wedding took place in July of 2022, and the weather was absolutely perfect. The sun was shining, the sky was blue, and the sea sparkled in the background. The ceremony was held in a charming cathedral in the centre of the city, with the reception taking place in a nearby restaurant.
One of the things that made this wedding so special was the way that Yasmina and Ivan incorporated both of their cultures into the celebration. The ceremony included elements from both Spanish and Croatian traditions, with, of course, the indispensable “rakija” and the reception featured a delicious Dalmatian cuisine. It was truly a celebration of love and unity, and it was an honor to capture those moments through my lens.
Of course, the real stars of the day were Yasmina and Ivan themselves. They were both absolutely radiant, with Yasmina wearing a stunning white dress and Ivan looking dapper in a beige suit. They were surrounded by their family and friends, who had traveled from all over the Europe to be a part of this special day.
As a photographer, my goal was to capture the essence of this beautiful couple and the love that they share. I worked closely with them to create a series of stunning images that they will cherish for a lifetime. From candid shots of them laughing with their loved ones to intimate portraits of the two of them together, I wanted to capture every moment of this special day.
In the end, Yasmina and Ivan's wedding in Dubrovnik was a truly unforgettable experience. It was a beautiful celebration of their love and the connection between their two cultures. As a photographer, I was honored to be a part of it all, and I am grateful for the opportunity to capture these memories for them to cherish for years to come.
